the Actor

Now an award-nominated actor, Aramie has been acting since the tender age of 7-years old…Inspired by his father’s career, but more so by a desire to perform, he has been honing his stage skills for years. Though his acting career is taking the backseat to his music, his resume is actually quite extensive. He has done everything from school plays as a youth to professional theatre all around the city of Chicago (and at the University of Illinois) as a teenager and adult. Currently, he is embarking on a pursuit of an on-screen career as well as using his gift of voice in the voice-over field!

Currently, Aramie is the Drama and Dance instructor at a local grammar school and high school. He also has 3 radio (voice-over) commercials circulating nationally as well as a television ad. His most recent credits include a turn as “Babyface” in the “Divas” musical tribute as well as his portrayal of Andre De Shields in the multi-nominated “Ain’t Misbehavin”. Aramie received two nods for “Best Leading Actor in a Musical” and “Most Promising Actor” from the Black Theater Alliance Awards. The cast is also nominated for “Best Ensemble”.

Aramie is currently in rehearsals for the premiere of “Goin Home Wit Duke” (September 21st), in which he stars. Following that, catch him starring as Troy Bolton in “High School Musical” in November!

Keep your eyes peeled and ears open!
